About Lisa
Lisa has been living in New London, PA with her husband and four children since 1997. When her youngest child started school, Lisa returned to Early Intervention teaching, and began pursuing certification as a Postpartum Doula. During her many years as a stay-at-home mom, Lisa came to a personal understanding of the anxieties and insecurities that can accompany the arrival of a baby and the practical steps that need to be taken in the home to accomodate a new family member. Her passion for helping others, and her gentle nature led her to the role of doula. Her desire is to help new mothers and families create a loving, soothing and nurturing environment for their new arrival. Lisa is certified through Doulas of North America (DONA). DONA International is a non-profit organization of doulas with almost 6,000 members in more than 20 countries.
Qualifications
- DONA International Certified Postpartum Doula
- Bachelor’s Degree from Smith College in Special Education and Early Childhood Development
- Special Educator, birth to three, for Chester County Early Intervention
- Current infant and adult CPR and first aid certification
- Current background clearances for Pennsylvania
- Fully insured
